Linchpins vs. Others...

The other day, I went to a "networking Event" for fans of Seth Godin and the Liinchpin book. The book is all about being a very important person in whatever you're doing because of your passion. The Passion is a requirement for your work.

The people there were enthusiastic, big thinkers who were all looking to DO SOMETHING in the world; we hung out and had a great time talking about BIG ideas and creative solutions. Great conversations aside from fun jokes and laughter.

THE NEXT DAY, I went to a regular "networking event", which was mostly people looking for a job, or an opportunity, or a few clients. It was a DIFFERENT vibe...

It wasn't that the Seth Godin people were BETTER, or anything like that, but they just thought differently, and for me, it was a lot more exciting.

I am looking forward to connecting with the people at the Seth Godin event, the others... we'll see!
